I was so excited to have twins in the studio recently! BOY/GIRL twins at that! This beautiful family reached out to me to be their newborn photographer and I was over the moon they chose me!

I love shooting, natural, simple, neutral and light and thats exactly what they wanted. I usually photograph newborns before they are two weeks old, however, because these cuties came early, they were a bit older and because of that, older babies typically dont sleep as much as two weekers or younger so we got alot of awake photos which I love but managed to get some asleep ones too which was great!

People always get a bit nervous when they have a older sibling especially a toddler in tow for these sessions, but here's some tricks I find helpful:

*Anytime you have a toddler or young child joining the sessions, always photograph the family and sibling shots first! Their attention span and mood is very limited so ya gotta grab them first.

*I always have parents bring bribes like stickers, snacks ( must bring snacks!!!!) tablet or phone or a new small toy.

*I dont push or force anything- sometimes just a bit of patience is needed, some toddlers are still getting used to the idea of a new baby sister or brother or in this case both! So having the babies posed and incorporating them by asking them wheres the babies nose or putting a snack somewhere near or on baby will engage the little ones! And fart noises and things alike will always work too lol

* After they are done with their portion of their let me relax with one parent and watch a show on the tablet/eat snacks or If weather cooperates, I have a nice courtyard outside back of my building so they can get theiry energy out, I even have restaurants that are walking distance from my studio that one parent can take them to afterwards while I finish up the newborn portraits

I just absolutely love photographing newborns, I can do it all day long! It is an investment in newborn photography, also in photpgraphy you do, but it is well worth it! You have art and decor in your home already, right? but these are beautiful works of art of you and your family you get to put on your walls in your home! You can treasure these  forever and forever and pass these down for generations to come. So if you are thinking about investing in a sessions, please reach out to me so we can chat about producing your  families memories into works of art!
