NOVA Maternity and Newborn Photographer

HI! I am loving maternity sessions recently! Both indoors and outdoors. I Shot this one at The Manassas Battlefield and the beautiful mama to be chose to wear two of the maternity dresses from my client closet.

If you are wondering about Maternity sessions, here's some details about a sessions with me!

I photograph maternity sessions between 28-36 weeks, that's usually the window when they are best. I have some mamas who show a bit earlier, hence, the 28 weeks, then I have some mamas who show a bit later.

If you chose to wear a dress from my client closet, you can either choose to pick up the dress from my studio a few days before the session so you can come dressed and makeup ready or I am bring the dress to our location outdoors and you can change in the car. If you are using two dresses then you can change in the car or if we are in an remote area with not alot of people around, sometimes you can just opt to change behind some trees or bushes and most of the time, it goes pretty smoothly!

Location wise- there are several locations around NOVA I have shot at before and know of, most I scout out beforehand and am always looking for new locations, but also there are times when clients already know of a spot they want and I make it work! This particular spot is one I have shot at many times and has many different spots for different looks. Parking is easy and plentiful.

My maternity sessions are easy going and don't worry about not knowing how to pose or what to do, I will guide you the whole time! If you are doing a maternity session with your family, then what I usually do is get solo portraits of you and some with the whole family, some with you and your children ( if you have any children) then some of you and your partner/spouse. I like to golden hour or early in the morning.
